Villarreal are ready to make a big impact in the Champions League once again, according to manager Unai Emery. The Spanish side, who reached the semi-finals of the competition last season, have been drawn in a tough group alongside Manchester United, Atalanta, and Young Boys.

Villarreal clinched their first major trophy last season by winning the Europa League, and Emery believes that this will give his team confidence going into the Champions League. "Winning the Europa League was a great achievement for us," he said. "It showed that we can compete with the best teams in Europe."
Villarreal will begin their Champions League campaign at home to Atalanta on September 14. They will then travel to face Manchester United on September 29 and Young Boys on October 20. The return fixtures will be played in November and December.
