DeRozan Joins Rising Bulls Team
The Chicago Bulls have acquired All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan from the San Antonio Spurs in a sign-and-trade agreement, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Bulls agreed to a three-year, $85 million contract with DeRozan as part of the deal.
In exchange, the Spurs will receive forwards Thaddeus Young and Al-Farouq Aminu, as well as a 2025 second-round pick. The Bulls are expected to announce the deal officially on Wednesday.
DeRozan, a four-time All-Star, averaged 21.6 points per game for the Spurs last season. He is a skilled scorer with a versatile offensive game. The Bulls are hoping that DeRozan can help them take the next step in their rebuild and contend for a playoff spot.
